This classic from 1935 demonstrates how Bauhaus design can be comfortably implemented even in limited spaces.

In the 1930s, Thonet expanded its product line to include designs by creators such as Breuer, who were closely associated with the Bauhaus. The S 285/2 was created during this period and remains one of the brand’s most iconic pieces to this day.

Ideal for small offices and home offices

The S 285/2 is considered a smaller version of the original design and is particularly well-suited for workspaces with limited room. Despite its compact dimensions, it offers enough space for a laptop, documents, and paperwork.

Two versions, one line

The desk is available with drawers or open shelves. Those who primarily need storage space should choose the version with shelves, which can be supplemented with a drawer if needed. Both versions can also be ordered in a mirror-image configuration.

From the home office to the living room

The sleek design fits just as well in the living room as it does in coworking spaces or a home office. The curved frame gives the tabletop a light, airy appearance and ensures that the desk doesn’t dominate the room.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0959/1760/5208/files/Thonet-S-285-2-Schreibtisch-Chrom-Esche-weiss_8d3bde2e-fab2-4bd4-b478-1e431d5ea1cb.jpg?v=1793718305
