Skagerak – Georg

A series of "occasional furniture"

While some furniture takes centre stage in the home, other pieces lead a rather secluded life in a corner. This "occasional furniture" is mainly there to make everyday life easier without taking up too much space. Skagerak and designer Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm break with the traditional idea of occasional furniture.

With the minimalist Georg series, Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm sweeps away old conventions. For Skagerak, she gives these pieces a new role as distinctive interior elements – the status they always deserved.

Where the Georg console table leans against the wall, the bench and stool stand out thanks to their unusual leg arrangement. The Georg seating is topped with wool cushions, held discreetly in place by an elegant leather strap. And the mirror leaning against the wall creates an interesting contrast with the hanging wardrobe and its hangers on leather straps. Together, the two pieces tell the story of how adults and children can meet at eye level everywhere. With the combination of untreated oak, untreated leather and mottled wool, Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm gives the Georg series by Skagerak a strong expression that suits any room and is entirely in tune with the times.
