1. Scope of Application
(1) The following GTC apply to all contracts you, as a customer, conclude with Connox via the online shop.
(2) As a customer within the meaning of these GTC, you may be either a consumer pursuant to § 13 BGB (German Civil Code) or an entrepreneur pursuant to § 14 BGB.
(3) Consumers are natural persons who enter into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly cannot be attributed to either their trade or their independent professional activity.
(4) Entrepreneurs are natural or legal persons or partnerships with legal capacity who, when entering into a legal transaction, act in the exercise of their trade or independent professional activity.
2. Conclusion of Contract
(1) The presentation of goods on the Internet does not yet constitute a binding contractual offer by Connox. The contract between you and Connox is only concluded once you place your order and Connox accepts it. A confirmation of the receipt of the order does not yet constitute acceptance. In the case of acceptance, Connox will send you an order confirmation by e-mail. Dispatch of the ordered goods to you is equivalent to an express declaration of acceptance.
(2) The language of the contract is German.
(3) You can place an order in the Connox shop by completing the following steps:
- By clicking the "add to basket" button, items are placed in your shopping basket without obligation. You can view all items placed in the basket by clicking on "Your basket/view basket". There you can delete items or change the quantity, and the shipping costs are displayed. You can also redeem vouchers there.
- If you wish to purchase the items in your basket, clicking on "Proceed to checkout" will take you to the ordering process.
- During the ordering process, if you are already registered with Connox and have not yet logged in, you can log in with your access data. If you are new to Connox, you will be asked to enter your order details individually and to register. Ordering as a guest is also possible.
- By clicking the "Register" or "Log in" button, you reach the shipping options. Here you can choose the shipping method. You then reach the payment method by clicking "Continue". There you can choose from various payment methods.
- Before you submit your order, clicking the "Continue" button takes you to the review page. There, all data of your intended order (in particular billing and delivery address, product, price, quantity, payment method) are once again displayed in an overview. You can also correct or change the data there.
- Clicking the "Buy now" button submits the order. In doing so, you make a binding offer to Connox to conclude a purchase contract. Please refer to the first paragraph of this section for when the contract is concluded. Further information on the ordering process can be found on the "Help and Service" pages.
(4) Connox does not store the contract text, and it can no longer be retrieved by you after completion of the ordering process. However, you can find the order data and the withdrawal information in text form in the order confirmation, which you can print out upon receipt by e-mail. Connox stores your order data. Should you lose your documents relating to your order, you can contact Connox by post, e-mail or telephone. Connox will be happy to send you a copy of your order data.
(5) Order processing (for example, shipping, invoicing or customer service) may be carried out by other companies within the Connox group of companies (affiliated companies within the meaning of § 15 AktG [German Stock Corporation Act]). Connox GmbH remains your contractual partner.
3. Delivery and Shipping Terms
(1) Delivery takes place within 3-5 working days after conclusion of the contract. The information in the order confirmation is decisive for the delivery date. Delivery dates deviating from this are expressly stated in the offer and the order confirmation and are confirmed by you through placing the order. For deliveries by freight forwarder, appointments are generally arranged by the appointed logistics service providers. If a deviating delivery date is agreed directly between the logistics service provider and you, the individually agreed delivery date applies. In this case, Connox is not bound by the delivery date and is not liable to you for delays.
(2) If you do not accept the delivered freight goods or if collection of the goods at your place of delivery fails (return), the goods will be sent back to Connox. You bear the costs of the unsuccessful delivery or collection (return) as well as the costs of subsequent deliveries of goods and return attempts. This obligation to bear costs does not apply if you are not responsible for the costs incurred.
(3) If you have given the delivery personnel permission to leave the goods at a specific location, the goods shall be deemed delivered, in relation to Connox, upon being left at that location. Loss of or damage to the goods at the drop-off location shall be governed by the agreements made between you and the delivery personnel (for example, through your acceptance of the general terms and conditions of the transport service providers, e.g. DHL), and otherwise by statutory provisions.
(4) For orders with a billing and/or delivery address in Switzerland, we are not liable for damage to or loss of the goods after handing them over for shipment.
4. Terms of Payment
Payment can generally be made by PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card, Sofort, Bancontact or via Klarna. Connox reserves the right not to offer individual payment methods for any given order. Further details on the payment methods offered can be found on our shop page under the "Terms of Payment" section.
Klarna
If you select a payment method offered via the payment service provider Klarna, payment processing is carried out via Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden. The individual payment methods (e.g. invoice purchase, instalment purchase, instant bank transfer) are displayed during the ordering process. Klarna may transmit data to credit agencies to check your creditworthiness and, on the basis of this check, may restrict or refuse the selection of certain payment methods. Further information as well as Klarna's terms of use can be found at www.klarna.com. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Klarna's data protection provisions.
Mollie
If you select a payment method offered via the payment service provider Mollie, payment processing is carried out via Mollie B.V., Keizersgracht 313, 1016 EE Amsterdam, Netherlands. The payment methods displayed during the ordering process (e.g. credit card, iDEAL, Bancontact, advance payment, etc.) are processed via Mollie. Your payment data is transmitted directly to Mollie and processed there. The respective terms of use and data protection provisions of Mollie apply, available at www.mollie.com. For credit card payments within the member states of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA), no additional fees are charged. If we expressly offer you payment in your national currency within the EU/EEA, conversion into euros will be made at the current official exchange rate. The current exchange rate can be viewed on the internet at the European Central Bank under the following link: www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/policy_and_exchange_rates/euro_reference_exchange_rates/html/index.en.html. For card payments from credit institutions based in third countries outside the EU/EEA, separate fees (e.g. foreign currency or foreign transaction fees) may apply, which we pass on to you. You bear these costs within the framework of the respectively applicable statutory provisions.
Payment by PayPal
If you select the payment method "PayPal", payment processing is carried out via the payment service provider PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg ("PayPal"), subject to the PayPal terms of use, available at www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full or, if you do not have a PayPal account, subject to the terms for payments without a PayPal account, available at www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacywax-full.
If you pay by PayPal, the delivery period begins no later than one working day after the payment order has been issued to PayPal, unless a later date has been expressly agreed. Within the PayPal payment method, you may also be offered the payment methods "PayPal Instalments" and "Pay by Invoice" (payment term of 30 days). Whether these payment methods are available in an individual case is decided exclusively by PayPal as part of its own creditworthiness and availability check during the ordering process; there is no entitlement to the availability of a particular payment method.
PayPal Instalments: If you select the "PayPal Instalments" payment method, PayPal grants you an instalment loan for the purchase. Further information on this payment method, the underlying terms, and PayPal's privacy statement on instalment payment can be found at www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/paypal-ratenzahlung.
PayPal Pay by Invoice (payment within 30 days): If you select the "PayPal Pay by Invoice" payment method, PayPal assigns the claim against you to a debt collection company affiliated with PayPal; in this case, payment can only be made with discharging effect to that company. Further information as well as the privacy statement on PayPal Pay by Invoice can be found at www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/rechnungskauf.
For further information on how PayPal handles personal data, including any creditworthiness check, please refer to PayPal's general privacy statement: www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
Apple Pay
In order to pay the invoice amount via Apple Pay, you must use the "Safari" browser, be registered with Apple as a service provider, have activated the Apple Pay function, authenticate yourself with your access data and confirm the payment instruction. The payment transaction is carried out immediately after the order is submitted. Further information is available during the ordering process; useful information on Apple Pay can be found at www.apple.com/apple-pay.
Google Pay
In order to pay the invoice amount via Google Pay, you must use a browser or device compatible with Google Pay, be registered with Google as a service provider, have activated the Google Pay function, authenticate yourself with your access data and confirm the payment instruction. The payment transaction is carried out immediately after the order is submitted. Further information is available during the ordering process; useful information on Google Pay can be found at pay.google.com.
5. Prices and Shipping Costs
(1) The prices stated in the order confirmation apply. All prices are quoted in euros and are, without exception, gross prices, i.e. they include statutory value-added tax and other price components, plus shipping costs. There is no minimum order value.
(2) For orders placed in the online shop, the time of clicking "Buy now" applies. We reserve the right to adjust prices up until the order is placed (for example, in the case of short-term discount or voucher promotions). You will be informed of any price change before placing your order.
(3) Delivery and shipping costs, the amount of which is determined by the information provided in connection with the respective presentation of the goods, are calculated from Connox's place of business. If delivery to you takes place outside the Federal Republic of Germany, the delivery and shipping costs increase depending on weight or volumetric weight.
(4) For shipments outside the EU, additional costs such as taxes and/or duties/customs charges may apply, which you must bear.
6. Refunds When Exercising the Right of Withdrawal
If you exercise your right of withdrawal (see the withdrawal information under item 7), we will use the same means of payment for refunds that you used for the original transaction.
7. Right of Withdrawal
Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
As a consumer, you have a right of withdrawal under the following conditions, whereby consumers are natural persons who enter into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly cannot be attributed to either their trade or their independent professional activity.
You have the right to withdraw from the consumer contract without giving reasons. Connox voluntarily grants you a withdrawal period of 60 days, going beyond the statutory minimum period of 14 days. The withdrawal period is therefore 60 days from the day
- on which you or a third party named by you, other than the carrier, took possession of the goods, if you ordered one or more goods as part of a single order and the goods are delivered together, or
- on which you or a third party named by you, other than the carrier, took possession of the last item of goods, if you ordered several goods as part of a single order and the goods are delivered separately, or
- on which you or a third party named by you, other than the carrier, took possession of the last partial shipment or the last item, if you ordered goods to be delivered in several partial shipments or items.
In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us, Connox GmbH, Krauss-Maffei-Straße 3, 30880 Laatzen, Germany, telephone number: +49 511 166 53352, e-mail: [email protected], by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form for this purpose, although this is not mandatory.
You can also exercise your right of withdrawal via the withdrawal button provided for this purpose. After the withdrawal declaration is sent, receipt of it will be confirmed. The requirements and consequences of the withdrawal will then be examined. You will be informed by e-mail of the outcome of this examination and the further steps. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
You must send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired. You bear the costs of returning goods suitable for shipment by standard mail.
For goods not suitable for shipment by standard mail: You bear the costs of returning goods which, due to their nature, cannot be returned by normal mail. The costs depend on the size and weight of the goods and the individual method of delivery. For freight goods, the costs are usually up to 75 euros within Germany and up to 150 euros within the rest of the European Union (non-binding estimate).
You will only be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, or if the value of the goods has deteriorated due to use.
The above right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery. Please understand that there is no right of withdrawal for deliveries outside the European Union. Deliveries to Switzerland and Liechtenstein are excluded from this.
8. Retention of Title
The goods remain the property of Connox until payment has been made in full.
9. Warranty
(1) If there is a defect in the purchased goods, the warranty is provided in accordance with statutory provisions. The limitation period for statutory claims for defects is two years for consumers and begins on the date of delivery, i.e. receipt of the goods by you.
(2) The warranty period vis-à-vis entrepreneurs is limited to one year.
(3) For consumers and entrepreneurs alike, the above limitations of liability and limitation periods do not apply to claims for damages and reimbursement of expenses that you may assert under statutory provisions due to defects in accordance with item 11.
10. Transport Damage / Returns
(1) If you act as a consumer, the following applies: If goods are delivered with obvious damage to the packaging or contents, we ask you to report this immediately to the freight forwarder/carrier and to contact Connox by telephone or in another way (e-mail/post), so that Connox can safeguard any rights against the freight forwarder/carrier.
(2) We also ask you to return goods to us in their original packaging. This makes it easier for us, for example, to resell the goods.
(3) Goods that were shipped by freight forwarder will, in the event of a return, generally be collected again by a freight forwarder. In this case, please contact Connox by telephone, in writing or by e-mail. To avoid transport damage, we also ask you to refrain from returning such goods by parcel service, since freight items, even in their original packaging, are not automatically suitable for transport via parcel service due to their weight, sensitivity or size.
(4) Failure to observe the above points does not restrict your right of withdrawal as a consumer. Furthermore, failure to make a complaint or to make contact has no effect whatsoever on your statutory or contractual warranty and liability claims as a consumer.
(5) If you act as a merchant within the meaning of § 1 HGB (German Commercial Code), you are subject to the duty of inspection and notification pursuant to § 377 HGB. The goods shall be deemed accepted if you fail to comply with the notification obligations set out therein.
Address for your return: Connox GmbH, Krauss-Maffei-Straße 3, 30880 Laatzen, Germany.
Disposal of the complained goods by you is not permitted in the case of a replacement delivery, the exercise of warranty rights or as part of returns, without Connox's prior written consent. If the goods are collected by the freight forwarder in the event of a complaint or after withdrawal, the collection location corresponds to your agreed delivery address.
11. Liability
Connox is liable for damages and reimbursement of expenses in accordance with statutory provisions.
12. Data Protection
For detailed information on data protection, please refer to the notices under the separate "Data Protection" link.
13. Customer Account
(1) When entering the data required for registration, you are obliged to provide truthful and complete information.
(2) You are obliged to keep your access data confidential and not to allow any third party access to your customer account.
(3) Connox reserves the right, in the event of a breach of the above provisions, to warn you, delete content or block or delete your customer account.
(4) There is no entitlement to permanent availability of the website or the services offered. Connox does not guarantee constant accessibility and is not obliged to accept registrations or orders.
14. Waste Disposal, Environmental Protection
Batteries
Many devices are supplied with batteries, which are used, for example, to operate remote controls, clocks, etc. Batteries or rechargeable batteries may also be permanently built into the devices themselves. In connection with the sale of these batteries or rechargeable batteries, Connox points out the following in accordance with the German Battery Act (Batteriegesetz): Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste and must not be disposed of in this way. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be properly disposed of.
You can either send your used batteries back to us with sufficient postage, or hand them in free of charge directly at our shipping warehouse at the following address: Connox GmbH, Krauss-Maffei-Straße 3, 30880 Laatzen, Germany.
Our take-back obligation is limited exclusively to those used batteries of the type that we sell or have sold as new batteries in our range. Batteries are marked with the symbol of a "crossed-out wheeled bin". For batteries containing more than 0.0005 % by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 % by mass of cadmium, or more than 0.004 % by mass of lead, the chemical symbol of the pollutant concerned is shown beneath the wheeled bin symbol - "Cd" for cadmium, "Pb" for lead and "Hg" for mercury.
Note on lithium batteries/rechargeable batteries: When returning lithium batteries or rechargeable batteries, we ask you to insulate the contact surfaces marked with + and –, for example with adhesive tape, in order to avoid any risk of fire.

Waste Equipment, Electronic Waste
Under the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), waste equipment must not be disposed of in household waste. This provision applies to all electronic and electrical equipment, regardless of its age. Light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and energy-saving lamps are also covered. Such equipment can be recognised by the symbol of a "crossed-out wheeled bin". This symbol is located on the equipment or its packaging. The equipment is taken back free of charge, for example by towns and municipalities. Take-back takes place at collection points; in some cases, collection is also offered. As a rule, existing collection systems (e.g. recycling centres) are used.
For detailed information on disposal and our take-back obligation for waste electrical and electronic equipment, please refer to the notices under the separate "Disposal" link.
15. Complaints / Dispute Resolution
(1) We endeavour to settle any disagreements arising from contracts concluded with us and any complaints amicably. Please note, however, that we are not obliged to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 of the German Act on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Matters - VSBG) and do not offer you the option of participating in such a procedure.
(2) The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR platform), which you can access at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Final Provisions
(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This does not affect mandatory provisions of the country in which you, as a consumer, have your habitual residence. If you are a consumer within the European Union, the law of your place of residence may also apply, insofar as this concerns mandatory consumer protection provisions.
(2) The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded, including in cross-border delivery transactions.
(3) The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Hanover, provided that you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. If, as a consumer, you do not have your place of residence in Germany or in another country of the European Union, Hanover shall likewise be the place of jurisdiction. In all other cases, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
