HKliving is a Dutch label founded by Emiel Hetsen and Sander Klaver. The brand name HKliving is made up of the initials of their surnames. The combination of a creative spirit and a mathematical mind has proved to be a recipe for success.
At its core, HKliving creates accessible collections of products inspired by traditional, practical designs with a modern style.

In 2008, demand for vintage furniture and lighting reached its peak, and Emiel began looking for alternatives to offer his customers larger quantities and more options. He turned to his childhood friend Sander Klaver, who worked in international trade, to help him set up production of various items in Asia. This led to the founding of HKliving. The brand was a great success from the start: its first collection, comprising just 28 products, was sold in 12 countries worldwide within the first year. Today, HKliving operates in 70 countries – a truly global business.
