Gubi - Gräshoppa

Timeless lighting classics

The Gräshoppa series from Gubi embodies stylish timelessness. Designed back in 1947, the lights are among the most important works of Swedish-American designer Greta Magnusson Grossman. The light's delicate structure inspired its name, which means grasshopper.

Greta Magnusson Grossman drew inspiration from Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier. Even so, she followed her own style and, with her European influences, helped shape American mid-century design. Grossman received numerous awards for her designs, which have lost none of their individual charm to this day.
