Steel wire furniture
Warren Platner became known in the 1960s for his wire-frame furniture. Over the years, these legendary pieces have earned true classic status, which is why they're still in the range today. The series includes upholstered chairs, with an optional ottoman, and a side table made from nickel-plated steel wire rods.
The Easy Chair and the Ottoman were first presented in 1966. Their design still looks modern today, proving that good design doesn't age – after all, the Platner series still has a considerable number of admirers and fans. At the time, manufacturing with steel wire was extremely complex and new, which no doubt contributed considerably to the fame of the original "Platner Collection".
The bent wire base looks light and contrasts with the round, cosy shapes of the seat.
