Design classics by Verner Panton
For many years, Verpan has produced Verner Panton's famous lights with great care for quality and authenticity – creating lights that brighten a room even when they are switched off. From the outset, the Danish company's aim was to make the lights in line with Verner Panton's original principles. This was made possible above all by a close and inspiring collaboration with the late designer's widow, Marianne Panton, and her family.
At Verpan, it all began with the "Fun Lamp" from 1964 – more than a simple light source and exceptionally multifaceted. Its gentle tinkling sounds like a distant glockenspiel while creating a deeply sensual calm. Verpan's managing director Peter Frandsen has a "Fun Lamp" hanging in his own home; with its many mother-of-pearl elements, it is said to have become the favourite toy of his then young son Gustav.
After a successful start with the classic Panton lights, Verpan recently expanded its range with a new collection of furniture and rugs from Verner Panton's archive.
"It's amazing to see how these old, visionary designs still bring a room to life today and instantly enhance their surroundings," says Verpan's managing director Peter Frandsen. "For us, that's exactly what it's all about: modernising and enriching spaces, places, people and experiences. That's why Verpan not only produces the most beautiful Verner Panton products but is also known for exquisite service and attention to detail."
As a mark of authenticity, Verpan products are engraved with the designer's signature.
