Fritz Hansen - Skagerak Drachmann Table

Wood garden table

The Drachmann Table from Skagerak has a solid and at the same time elegant appearance. The table is made of high quality wood and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. With its classic and nostalgic look is Drachmann the epitome of classic Scandinavian design.

Inspired by the northern tip of Denmark

The idea of picturesque furniture can be traced back to the golden age of Skagen, when artists like Kroyer, Ancher and Drachmann were inspired by the unique nature and such special light that characterize the northern tip of Denmark. Pictures from this period show the first characteristic Skagen furniture, made by local carpenters. It was this furniture and the aura surrounding it, as it stood in the beautiful gardens and picturesque nature, that inspired the modern lacquered furniture that Skagerak produces today.

Robust and stable wood

Teak is hard, stable and very easy to process. At the same time, the wood is characterized by a unique content of naturally impregnating oils, which make the wood resistant to rot and fungal decay. Therefore, furniture made of high quality teak can stand outdoors all year round, without any further treatment other than regular cleaning. If you want to preserve the beautiful play of color of the wood and want a darker shade, you can treat the furniture with oil. The Drachmann table is available in different finishes.
