Boule Small Table Lamp

Round, handmade glass lamp

Inspired by the popular outdoor game (Boule or Pétanque), the designer Sebastian Herkner created the eponymous Boule table lamp that illuminates table and living quarters with a special and at the same time discreet appearance. The Boule table lamp by Sebastian Herkner for Pulpo creates an exciting effect with its multi-layered and coloured glass domes and a porcelain foot and causes a stir as a modern reinterpretation of the lamp.

Mouth-blown glass in multiple layers

The bulb is surrounded by a ball-shaped dome made of mouth-blown glass. In different colours, and depending on the size ,a light is created that breaks in a very special way in one, two or three layers, reflecting and changing results thanks to these special links.

Handmade lamp

In typical Herkner fashion, the Boule light was made with return to traditional craft techniques. Thereby, the glass dome in various colours is always hand blown, in turn the base is made of matt varnished porcelain from the German tradition manufacturer Rosenthal. Boule is available in two sizes as a table or floor lamp with 1 to 3 glass domes and can be used as a floor lamp as well as as an eye-catcher for the table.

Production note

Please note: Each glass is unique. Small bubbles and streaks, as well as minor variations in colour and size, are characteristic of handmade glass and are not flaws of design or manufacture.
