019 Syy Cutting Board

Pine Wood Cutting Board – Striking Design with the 019 Syy from Vaarnii

Natural material meets a striking look: The 019 Syy cutting board from Vaarnii impressively showcases the characteristic grain of Finnish pine. The name “Syy” means “wood grain” in Finnish and directly refers to the cutting board’s central design element. The lively end-grain structure, natural color variations, and visible knots make each piece a unique, one-of-a-kind item.

The Vaarnii 019 Syy cutting board is crafted from solid Finnish pine and finished with a paraffin oil coating. With a thickness of 5 cm, the cutting board has a particularly robust, almost sculptural appearance and is suitable for cutting and preparing food. At the same time, the striking wood surface is decorative enough to use the board as a serving board for bread, cheese, or other foods.

Vaarnii ’s 019 Syy cutting board is available in two sizes, making it versatile for use in a variety of kitchens. The intentionally visible signs of wear—such as small scratches and nicks—are part of the character of the soft pine wood and make the cutting board even more unique over time. As part of the “ Vaarnii ” accessories line, Syy combines functional kitchen accessories with the brand’s characteristic Finnish design aesthetic.
