The Mesh bowl by Philippi can be used to store onions, nuts, and snacks, but this extraordinary product also looks great as a bread basket on the breakfast table. The solid form is made of bent and lacquered steel wire. The material contrasts with the shape, making the Mesh bowl airy and light. It was these qualities that inspired the Mesh bowl was Philippi was honored with the FORM Design Award in 2013. The bowl is not food-safe and, to be on the safe side, should therefore be used only for fruit with a peel, such as oranges, lemons, or bananas.
