Ceiling Lamp No. 1

Designing a spacious room with just a few lines—Ceiling Lamp N°1 by Valerie Objects

Sometimes that’s all it takes: The Ceiling Lamp N°1 Valerie Objects shows how Muller Van Severen creates an expressive lighting object from a minimalist design. Sleek lines define the form, while the deliberately simple lampshade marks the functional focal point. The result lies somewhere between a light fixture and a spatial drawing—understated in its approach yet unmistakably present.

It is precisely the absence of a solid lamp body that defines the special effect of the Ceiling Lamp No. 1. Its delicate construction makes the surrounding space an integral part of the design and brings a graphic, almost playful lightness to the ceiling. The clean design language is typical of Muller Van Severen and transforms a functional piece of furniture into a sculptural element.

Different color options open up various possibilities for styling. In subdued tones, the Ceiling Lamp No. 1 blends naturally into modern interiors, while more expressive colors emphasize its lines and geometric proportions more strongly. Thus, the lamp can be used either as a subtle element of the decor or as a deliberate design accent.
