Ceiling Lamp No. 5

A fine line between light and sculpture – Ceiling Lamp N°5 by Valerie Objects

Minimal in size yet with an impressive presence: With the Ceiling Lamp N°5 by Valerie Objects Muller Van Severen demonstrate how a few precise lines can give rise to a distinct spatial object. The minimalist design resembles a three-dimensional drawing that seems to emerge from the ceiling, naturally incorporating its surroundings into the design. Light is not merely used functionally here, but becomes an integral part of a sculptural composition.

Instead of dominating the space with a bulky lamp body, the Ceiling Lamp N°5 emphasizes openness and visual lightness. Its slender construction traces a clear geometric pattern in the space, while the minimalist lampshade provides a deliberate focal point. Depending on the perspective, the interplay of lines and spaces changes—a hallmark of Muller Van Severen’s experimental yet precise design language.

The Ceiling Lamp N°5 can be staged in particularly exciting ways through its various color options. Subtle shades emphasize the design’s understated, architectural character, while bolder colors transform the graphic silhouette into a deliberate eye-catcher. This makes the lamp ideal for interiors where lighting can be more than just a source of light: a standalone element of interior design.
