Standing Lamp No. 1

Light Along Long Lines – Standing Lamp N°1 by Valerie Objects

The design almost seems to redraw the space with just a few strokes: The Standing Lamp N°1 by Valerie Objects translates Muller Van Severen’s unmistakable design language into a freestanding light sculpture. The design duo has deliberately dispensed with a classic lamp base featuring a solid foot and a large shade. Instead, slender lines, clean geometry, and plenty of open space define the silhouette—a radically minimalist design with a surprisingly powerful impact.

It is precisely this visual lightness that makes the Standing Lamp N°1 an extraordinary piece of interior design. The delicate construction appears fresh from every angle and allows the surroundings to become part of the design. The minimalist lampshade provides a deliberate finishing touch and underscores the graphic character. Thus, the design playfully straddles the line between functional lighting, furniture, and three-dimensional art.

Whether placed next to a sofa and armchair or as a standalone piece in spacious living areas—the Standing Lamp N°1 brings light to spaces where it is also meant to become part of the interior design. Different color options offer additional creative freedom for styling: Subtle tones emphasize the understated elegance of the design, while bolder colors deliberately draw attention to its extraordinary geometry.
