Like a line in space – Hanging Lamp N°3 by Valerie Objects

It almost seems as if it were drawn in the air with just a few precise strokes: The Hanging Lamp N°3 wall lamp by Valerie Objects transforms light into an extraordinary graphic object. Muller Van Severen create a delicate structure that extends far into the room from the wall, turning functional lighting into a defining element of interior design. The idea behind it arose from a very practical need: Because their own home lacked a ceiling outlet above the table, the designer duo developed a lamp that simply relocates its power source to the wall. Initial designs were presented as early as 2011 at their first joint solo exhibition.

In the N°3, generous dimensions meet remarkable visual lightness. The steel structure measures 137.5 cm in length and 135 cm in height, while the 25 cm-wide shade gracefully completes the sweeping line. Thus, despite its considerable size, the result is not a massive lamp body, but rather a delicate silhouette that seems to almost float in the room.

Lighting is provided by an E27 socket with a replaceable bulb. The Hanging Lamp N°3 is intended for dry indoor use and is not dimmable. Various color options offer additional creative freedom: when combined subtly, the delicate lines blend harmoniously into the interior, while contrasting tones deliberately highlight the lamp’s graphic character.
